Q: What should I do after a claim?
A: Auto
1. Assist injured, then call police
2. Secure drivers license numbers, makes and models of other cars involved, and their insurance carrier and policy number
3. Secure names and addresses of drivers, witnesses, and injured persons
4. NEVER accept claim settlement at the scene of accident
5. Notify your insurance company if claim is above your deductible (Link to claim numbers) or call your agent 972-669-2431
6. File written report with local or state police if required by regional law

1. If damage to property could lead to additional damage take the necessary steps to protect your property from additional damage.
2. If water damage, contact a water restoration company to come out immediately to help clean up the water.
3. Get an idea of the amount of damage to make sure it exceeds your deductible.
4. If it exceeds the deductible contact your insurance carrier and give the details of your claim.

Q: How can I lower my cost of car insurance?
A: You can take defensive driving, check with your agent to see if your insurance company gives this discount. You can also carry higher deductibles on your collision and other than collision coverages.
